Privacy Policy
We take the protection of your data seriously. Below we explain which personal data we collect, process and for what purpose.
1. Processing of data in the course of our services
I provide automation, workflow and AI consulting/implementation services in the client’s IT environment (e.g. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, custom APIs, orchestration platforms). Personal data is processed exclusively in the client’s systems. Depending on the project, I may receive temporary access for consulting and implementation. I do not store copies of client data outside the client’s systems and process data only within the scope of the respective engagement.
2. Cookies & tracking
This website uses cookies and similar storage technologies to ensure functionality and, after your consent, to create usage statistics. Necessary cookies and technical storage are required to operate the website and cannot be disabled. This includes in particular storing your cookie preferences.
Your choices for the “Analytics” category are stored in a technical entry
(pilicoreCookieSettings in localStorage) in your browser so you do not have to decide
again on every visit. You can change or withdraw consent anytime on our
Cookies page.
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 via the Google Tag, provided through the WordPress plugin Site Kit by Google. The Google Tag / Analytics script is loaded only after you opt in; without consent no connection to Google’s tracking endpoints is initiated by our site for this purpose. Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, USA. Processing may involve transfer to the USA (EU Standard Contractual Clauses / Google’s terms). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Details of cookies and storage are listed on the Cookies page.
3. Contact form
If you send inquiries via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, company, phone number if provided, message content) solely to handle your request and any follow-up questions. After submission we send a confirmation with a copy of your details to the email address you provided. Legal bases are typically Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficiently handling inquiries).
To protect forms against abuse we use technical safeguards. Hashed values derived from the IP address and email address, together with short-lived counters (typically up to 24 hours), may be stored as WordPress transients. The form also checks that it was submitted in a plausible time window and via the website itself. This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in website security).
4. Blog subscription
You can subscribe to new blog articles by email. We process your email address solely to send a confirmation message (double opt-in) and, after confirmation, notifications about newly published articles. No advertising, no regular newsletter. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email or by contacting us. On unsubscribe we delete the stored address.
Data is stored on our WordPress server. We do not pass addresses to newsletter platforms. Unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted after 14 days. To protect the form against abuse, a hashed IP address plus a short-lived counter (typically up to 24 hours) may be stored as a WordPress transient (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in website security).
Alternatively you can follow the blog via RSS without providing personal data (https://pilicore.com/feed/).
